Angulo vs. Rosado II- A Possibility

IMG_7182.JPG

As September’s Mayhem fight night gets closer day by day; little by little each telecast fight on that event begins to simmer and spew some significance for future match-making. As part of Mayweather-Maidana II Mayhem’s undercard, making not only his return to the ring, but his middleweight debut, Alfredo “Perro” Angulo (22-4, 18 KO) will fight James De la Rosa (22-2, 13 KO) at a 162 pound catch-weight. If you are not fully aware of who either boxer is, the fight based on their records seems intriguing enough to catch any fight fan’s attention. Both, Angulo and De la Rosa have similar records, with Angulo, obviously, being the most experience and superior matched opponent in this bout.

To add more spice into this middleweight bout, Golden Boy Promotions has placed on the table as a possible middleweight bout in the future between Alfredo Angulo and Gabriel Rosado- if Angulo is successful on beating De la Rosa on the night of September 13th. This would give Rosado a rematch opportunity in which he has stated in the past that he would like to avenge. Looking back, in 2009 Angulo stopped a younger Rosado in 2 rounds. Times have changed, and Rosado has become a more experienced and wiser boxer/puncher fighter with a good resume. Rosado has even earned more spot light with his recent BKB knockout victory over Brian Vera. It is too soon to come up with any predictions as we await for Angulo’s middleweight debut, but just the thought of this possible fight is intriguing to any fight fan.

If this is so, well lets all hope that Angulo is victorious and faces Rosado in the near future, as it will be a great fight to watch.
