Maidana gets a second chance against Mayweather

The boxing world no longer has to wait, Floyd Mayweather Jr has announced his next fight. It will be a rematch with the hard hitting Argentinian, Marcos Maidana. The question now is can Maidana pull off the impossible upset? Personally, I doubt it and let me tell you why.

Back on May 3rd Marcos Maidana shocked the world by putting up the best performance against pound for pound king, Floyd Mayweather Jr, in recent history. He did everything he was supposed to do against a guy like Floyd. Maidana made him uncomfortable, forcing him into the ropes most of the fight. Punches from Maidana can come at any angle and Floyd learned the hard way that it could be difficult to defend against. Besides all of that he made it dirty. Some some landed to the back of the head or strayed below the waist. Basically he landed wherever he could. Literally the only things he can do differently is keep more consistent pressure and try to use faints to land more flush.

Maidana let off the gas at times and you just can’t do that against Floyd. No one can go 12 hard rounds with Floyd Mayweather and expect him to not make adjustments. Maidana fought about as good of a fight he could give Mayweather in their first bout. I believe Mayweather will be able to adapt and dominate the second bout in boring fashion. However, Maidana has been underrated in his last couple of fights and has shown you can never count the Argentinian out.

What do you fans think of Mayweather-Maidana 2? Who do you got winning this time? Drop us a line below. Thanks for reading and being a fan of the sweet science.
